Collection: Valley of Craftsmen

Lawrence Clain moved to Byron Bay from the Blue Mountains with a passion to build and work with timber. He started out by helping on a local timber mill cutting and learning about the varieties of timber in the area. It was here Lawrence discovered, and subsequently became obsessed with, working with camphor laurel timber and its properties.

Since then, over the past ten years, Lawrence has created his Valley of Craftsmen workshop and developed his skills to refine his processes in turning the timber into the highest-quality products possible.

These cutting boards have become one of his mainstays.  Camphor laurel is renowned as the best timber to use in the kitchen due to its natural antibacterial quality, making it both decorative and food-safe.
