Second Mouse Cheese Co., Orange, New South Wales
Second Mouse Cheese Co. is a small-batch artisan cheesemaker in Orange, on Wiradjuri Country in the Central Tablelands of New South Wales. Established in 2013, it makes cheese using milk from local, family-owned independent dairies.
Orange is shaped by rich volcanic soils, cool winters, warm summers and the presence of Gaanha bula, Mount Canobolas. This ancient volcano watches over a region long known for orchards, grazing, mixed farming and, more recently, outstanding cool-climate wine.

Today, Orange is one of New South Wales’ most celebrated food and wine destinations, with cellar doors, restaurants, cafés and a strong community of growers and makers. Second Mouse Cheese Co. sits naturally within that landscape, turning local milk into cheeses with character, care and a clear sense of place.
