Second Mouse Cheese Co. is a small-batch artisan cheesemaker in Orange on Wiradjuri Country, in the Central Tablelands of New South Wales. Established in 2013, the business makes handmade, hand-packed cheese using milk sourced from local family-owned independent dairies.

Owner and head cheesemaker SJ Pienaar brings a thoughtful, hands-on approach to every batch, combining European cheesemaking traditions with a genuine respect for local milk. Her range moves from fresh curd cheese, fetta and haloumi-style cheese to camembert-style cheeses, washed rinds and blue cheese.

At its heart, Second Mouse Cheese Co. is closely connected to Orange’s rich food culture, where vineyards, growers, makers and good local produce are part of everyday life. Each cheese reflects the character of the region and the care of the small dairy families and makers behind it.
