Main Ridge Dairy

Place, patience and the pursuit of excellence.
Main Ridge Dairy is a farmstead goat cheese producer on Bunurong Country in Main Ridge, on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula. Since 2001, the dairy has made handcrafted goat’s milk cheeses using milk from goats raised on the surrounding pasture, just metres from its cheese factory.
Owned by Sonia and Wayne, Main Ridge Dairy makes a broad range of fresh, soft-ripened and semi-hard goat’s cheeses. Their approach is simple: well-nurtured animals and nutritious pasture produce beautiful milk, and beautiful milk makes exceptional cheese.
Set among the green hills of the Peninsula, the dairy remains focused on thoughtful, hands-on cheesemaking and a genuine connection between farm, milk and finished cheese. In 2025, its Caprino received Gold at the Australian Food Awards, recognising the care and skill of cheesemaker Charlotte and the Main Ridge Dairy team.
When you choose Main Ridge Dairy, you are supporting a small Australian farm that turns carefully produced milk into distinctive goat’s cheese, helping keep regional cheesemaking strong with every bite.
