The June Therapy Box - A Celebration of Australia

This month’s box settles into the first proper notes of winter, as the evenings stretch out and the table starts calling for richer, slower flavours. June’s Therapy Box is built for this moment: warming and made for taking your time.

At the centre is Frieda from Second Mouse Cheese Co., made in Orange on Wiradjuri Country in central west NSW. Made by cheesemaker SJ Pienaar, Frieda is a washed rind cheese with plenty of character. She has a russet-coloured rind, an earthy aroma and a soft centre that becomes more expressive as she matures.

Enjoyed younger, Frieda is gentle, savoury and approachable. Given a little more time, she develops deeper washed rind notes, a softer texture and the kind of personality that makes people lean back, nod slowly, and go in for another taste.

She brings warmth, depth and just enough mischief to anchor a winter cheese board.

The June Therapy Box also includes:

• Shadows of Blue | Tarago River Cheese - 150g
  A mild, creamy blue from Gippsland with a soft texture and gentle sweetness. It brings depth without overwhelming the board, making it friendly for blue lovers and the blue-curious alike.
• Currumbin Cheddar | Gold Coast Cheese Co. - 150g
  A firm, satisfying 24 month matured cheddar with a savoury profile and enough depth to hold its place beside Frieda. It brings structure to the box and that familiar, comforting cheddar goodness we all understand.
• Truffled Cow | Nimbin Valley Dairy - 200g
  Usually 150g, but this month you’re getting a generous 200g piece. Truffled Cow is a gooey white mould cheese with a layer of Western Australian truffle through the centre. Creamy, earthy and properly indulgent.
• Salt Cured Olives | Mount Zero Olives - 80g
  Deep, savoury salt-cured olives with concentrated flavour and a satisfying salty richness. A beautiful match for washed rind and blue cheese.
• Natural Sourdough Lavosh Crackers | Silver Tongue Foods -120
  Light, crisp and made for cheese. These lavosh crackers bring just enough crunch while letting the cheeses do the talking.

As winter settles in, this is a box made for slower evenings. A glass poured, a board shared, or a quiet moment in the kitchen before anyone else finds the good cheese.

  Crunchy sourdough breadsticks made with a generous mix of seeds. They bring savoury depth, texture and a satisfying snap to the board.
• Pickled Baby Figs in Syrup | On The Side - 120g 🍯
  Tiny baby figs pickled in a syrup of brown sugar and apple cider vinegar. Sweet, tangy and gently complex, they are especially good with blue cheese.
• Quince Paste | Ugly Duck Fine Foods - 115g 🫙
  A soft-set quince paste made to spread, not slice. Smooth, fruity and easy to pair with both soft and hard cheeses.
