Welcome to spring, and to Western Australia’s wildflower season.

As the south-west begins its annual burst of colour, the September Therapy Box heads to the dairy country near Harvey for its feature cheese: OMG Triple Cream from Harvey Cheese on Bindjareb Noongar Country.

This is a gloriously indulgent, soft-ripened cheese. Made in the style of classic French camemberts and enriched with extra cream, OMG Triple Cream has a soft white bloom, a rich buttery centre and the sort of lush, spoonable texture that gives it its name.

It is a cheese for warm spring afternoons. Leave it out of the fridge until it softens, then spread it generously over crisp lavosh or good crusty bread. Add a little muscatel or a pickled fig, pour something chilled and let the afternoon take its time.

The September Therapy Box brings together four distinct expressions of Australian cheesemaking: a decadent Western Australian triple cream, a creamy Victorian blue, a melt-friendly raclette-style cheese from the NSW Northern Rivers and a golden washed rind from the Sunshine Coast.

The September Therapy Box also includes:

• Milawa Blue | Milawa Cheese Co. (150g)
  A creamy, mild blue inspired by Gorgonzola Dolce. It has a soft, buttery paste and a delicate sweetness that makes it a lovely introduction to blue cheese.
• Running Cow | Nimbin Valley Dairy (150g)
  A semi-hard raclette-style cheese made in the Northern Rivers. Supple, savoury and beautifully meltable, it is delicious warmed over potatoes, tucked into a toastie or sliced onto the board.
• Blackall Gold Washed Rind | Woombye Cheese (200g)
  A golden-orange washed rind from the Sunshine Coast hinterland. Mild and creamy when young, it becomes more aromatic, savoury and wonderfully pungent as it ripens.
• Rosemary & Native Pepper Mixed Olives | [Maker] (80g)
  A fragrant, savoury addition to the board, with rosemary and native pepper bringing a gentle Australian bush character to the creamy cheeses.
• Natural Sourdough Lavosh | Silver Tongue Foods (125g)
  Crisp, light sourdough lavosh made for layering with soft cheese, a little fruit and a glass of something good.

This is a spring box for spreading, melting, grazing and sharing. Open it for a long lunch, take it to a picnic, or make an ordinary afternoon feel like a small celebration.
